Drown In Sulphur is a blackened deathcore band from Milan, Italy.

Founded in 2014, the project achieved extraordinary numbers with its first two singles, An Epilogue to the Arrogant and Blackwind, collecting millions of views and streams.

After a necessary lineup change in 2020, the band released in 2021 its first official album, Sulphur Cvlt, followed by Dark Secrets Of The Soul in 2024; once again achieving very important results. The artistic fire burns stronger than ever, leading to the release of the third album, Vengeance, on January 17, 2025, releasing their dark and rebellious vision of the world.

Between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 there were some lineup changes that led to reflection and a renewed awareness of the desire for change, for a rawer and more authentic sound that nodded to modernity and recalled the project's origins. This is how "Strix" was born;

from a desperate and visceral search for a sound that can be identified as authentic and recognizable to the band's name. An EP that certainly leaves the listener surprised by its influences of My Space Deathcore and Black Metal, leading to a direction less symphonic and more hardcore. The themes explored are esoteric, with real biblical and dystopian references that draw on Masonic contexts, intertwining the main theme of the mythological figure "Strix."
